Another great thing about this book, in my opinion, is that its fast paced. The abrupt loss of a friend (who's still alive but mysteriously gone without any communication except a letter).

It never got too boring, and was thoroughly entertaining until the last page. Emily is about to take some risks and have the most unexpected summer ever. Just as the most perfect and epic summer is.

Since you've been gone, a 2014 novel by morgan matson; I also loved how morgan matson included the playlists throughout the book, i felt like that gave me a peek into the characters’ minds, which was interesting to see. And a great summer read also!

This was surprising in itself. The characters come to life in this story and you can really feel the emotions coming out of the book. Before sloane, emily didn’t go to parties, she barely talked to guys, and she didn’t do anything crazy.

It was sloane who yanked emily out of her shell and made life 100% interesting. I actually want more of these characters? It’s really not fair for this relationship to continue.

I loved reading since you’ve been gone; One day, sloane and her parents vanish from emily’s suburban hometown. In since you’ve been gone, emily is part of a dynamic duo.
